In addition to my role as a mental health provider, I am also a proud mother of two spirited boys, and a bold little girl.
I strive to support men and women in overcoming feelings of pressure, distress, hopelessness and uncertainty through helping each client feel heard, understood and empowered to improve their mental health and achieve personal goals. My education, in-depth professional training, and personal experience overcoming the challenge and stigma of a mood disorder at 21 provide me unique insight into struggles facing young adults and parents navigating their own mental health battle.
Through a strength-based approach I empower my clients to accept their emotions and experiences and overcome challenges by developing on existing strengths and learning new skills. My goal is to help you achieve and maintain a sense of peace, balance and stability, inspiring confidence and resiliency.
Change processes are supported through an integrative approach integrating Schema-Focused Therapy, Transactional Analysis and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) with immersive evidence-based practices. Caitlan Stransky
Hi there! I’m Caitlan, and I am passionate about supporting youth and adults who are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or emotionally wounded. My work is centered around working with those impacted by trauma and loss in various forms, and with the many ways in which these experiences may manifest emotionally, physically, and behaviourally. This may include feeling unsafe or on edge, feeling numb or dissociated, difficulties concentrating, relational concerns, and much more. Regardless of how your past experiences continue to impact your present life, I am here to support you every step of the way. Together, we'll prioritize creating a supportive environment for you to explore the impact of your experience, regain your sense of well-being and safety, and shift into more authentic states – all at your own pace.
My therapeutic approach is holistic, attachment-based, trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming, anti-oppressive, and always tailored to meet your unique needs and goals. I draw from a variety of evidence-based treatments, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Somatic Experiencing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy, and Compassion-Focused Therapy.
